Hello!

I'm Denise, owner and founder of Develop the Magic LLC and Reach for the Magic Destinations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner agency.  I have a B.S. in sociology and my professional background includes problem solving, project and vacation planning, development & presentation of a wide range of training and program materials, program coordination, advocacy, and critical response.  I'm passionate about helping new and experienced travel agents develop and improve their skills and confidence so they can thrive within the travel industry and collaborating with other agency owners raise the professionalism of the industry. 

 

Agency owners have so many tasks to accomplish, it can be overwhelming to create a program as they try to make sure they cross all the t's and dot the i's as they bring on new agents.  I wanted to offer an option for agency owners to have a foundation for new agents to develop skills & abilities and hopefully thereby see productivity rise more quickly and easily.  The Core Framework program helps owners kickstart or expand their onboarding programming.

I've been in the industry myself since 2007 and when I started, I was told to complete supplier training and that was it; no resources were shared and I was sent a single template for quotes.  A few years in, as a request from my agency owner, I developed the agency's first training program.  It was bare bones with items that I identified as things I wish I had access to when I first started in the business.  In 2015, I opened my own travel agency and spent time reviewing and creating a professional development program prior to bringing my first independent contractor onboard.

As I've networked with other agency owners and travel advisors to hear what they wish they had access to, I discovered a need for professional development programming, especially a starting framework or foundation. With encouragement from fellow owners and my loved ones, Develop the Magic was born.  The gem of offerings is the Core Framework program, but there are additional professional development products available.  And more are being developed!
